Welcome to Noobsports.com

Welcome to www.noobsports.com, we're glad you've made it here.

Noobsports is run by Nate and Steve, two friends who met in college and keep in contact on a daily basis. One currently resides in the sprawling suburbs of Chicacago, the other in the rocky mountain state of Colorado. We agree on many topics (Detroit Tigers baseball, University of Michigan football, Mike Tyson's punchout, the dominance of Macgyver) and disagree on many topics as well (Steve would love to put a bullet in Kobe, while Nate would gladly take that bullet).

Certainly a commanding mullet.

So what made us start this website? Well, we already spend a good hour or two every day discussing sports via phone, email, instant messenger, or in person... so why not share it with the rest of the world through the glorious world wide web? We think that we're very knowledgeable about much of the sports world, and we also think we're pretty funny. However, we'll leave both of those opinions up to you, the reader. We invite you to leave your comments on our posts, or feel free to email us at noobsports@gmail.com. We welcome all praise and hatred equally, as your feedback will help us find our groove as wannabee sports writers.

What should you expect from noobsports.com? Well, even we're not sure. We plan to provide everything we think that you will enjoy, and more. From the NBA to sports gambling, from the World Cup '06 to the X-games, from mock drafts to coverage of the World Baseball Classic live from San Diego, we plan to cover everything in sport. We're not going to limit it to sports however, as we plan on delving into the worlds of music, politics, literature, and whatever else would be amusing to you, the fans. We plan on providing a combination of deep, well-written and well-researched articles with shallow, funny things that will give you a laugh and help your day go by quicker (like this), mixed in with the occasional guest article.

Thanks for taking the time to visit noobsports. We hope that you enjoy our site, and if so, feel free to spread the word to your friends. It's our hope that you'll stick with us as we get this site up and running, and help us through our imminent growing pains with your comments and criticisms. We plan to update this site every day or two, so check back often. In the meantime, we'll be busy coming up with new material for your enjoyment. Take it easy, and take solice in the fact that we'll be rollin just like Randy Moss... straight cash homies.

Have you forgotten, when those towers fell?

Macgyver looks like one of your better UofM quarterback prospects. She looks like she can hide behind steroid-filled cynder blocks.

Hello Gentlemen,
I really like the webpage, but think it would be great to add a section, specifically devoted to women's badminton, a sport whose, often very good looking, athletes recieve far less credit than they deserve. As I'm sure we all know, over the weekend Grace Ping (a longtime personal favorite of mine) beat out teamate Lili Zhou for the singles title at the California Community College Championships!!! I just want to give Grace a big Congradulations for such an outstanding feat. Way to go Grace, keep up the great work, and good luck at the Community College Championships of the World!!!

Hello Gentlemen,
I really like the webpage, but think it would be great to add a section, specifically devoted to the over worked and under appreciated select few good looking athletes of women's badminton. guys, this is fucking bullshit that posts must be approved by you...what happened to freedom of fucking speech! I have some really important shit to say about some really important athletes, but I can't because I'm afraid you might steal my ideas and/or knowledge of said athletes. Fuck that and fuck this fucking website. Me and my intellegint comments about sports are going elsewhere.

Yo,

Sorry about the comment moderation settings... I didn't even know they were on or what they did... I guess I'm a bigger noob than I originally thought.

I do agree that Women's badminton needs more headlines though.

Comments should be shown now as soon as you post them, sorry about the confusion.

Much love to the web page

Hey guys, the little bro directed me to your site knowing I'm always reading any online sports information. I'm sure I'll stick around and regularly check out what you guys are putting out.

I'm not a blogger myself, but since you stated in your introduction that you both agree on the Lloydball All-Stars, I linked a very good UM blog you could check out. It also links to numerous other blogs on UM football and other college football.

By the way, that Punchout video is awesome and it's amazing how well I can remember exactly how accurate it is all these years later.

Thanks for fixing the comment moderation settings Steve, I feel much better now knowing that you nor Nate can claim my sports revelations as your own. How bout a little XGAMES coverage?
